Lee Seong-kyung, best known for his role in the 4 Oscar-winning movie "Parasites," was found dead Wednesday in a park in Seoul. His body was in a car.
According to Yonhap News Agency, everything points to suicide. According to Reuters, the star's manager told police that Lee left home, leaving a suicide note.
The 48-year-old actor was under investigation for alleged illegal use of marijuana and other drugs. He has reportedly been interrogated three times, one of which lasted 19 hours. Lee has been suspended from television and commercial projects.
Violating South Korea's tough drug laws can cost six months in jail, with penalties of up to 14 years in prison for "repeat offenders and dealers."
