Losses of Russian troops on the Tauride direction have increased both in manpower and armored vehicles, Brigadier General Alexander Tarnavsky, commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, said on Thursday, UNN reports.

According to the commander, total enemy losses in the Tauride sector reached 706 people over the past day.
51 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed. In particular, 8 tanks, 13 armored personnel carriers, 8 artillery systems, 2 air defense systems, 15 UAVs, and 5 vehicles were destroyed. Also, 2 ammunition depots and 4 important enemy objects were destroyed. Another 44 pieces of enemy equipment were damaged, Tarnavsky said.
"Our defenders are steadfastly holding the defense in the Avdiivka sector. (...) At the same time, the offensive operation in the Melitopol sector continues," the commander said.
At the same time, according to him, the enemy conducted 11 air strikes in the Tavriya sector, fired 56 combat engagements and made 973 artillery attacks.
