The President of Ukraine and the Chancellor of Germany discussed the continuation of defense cooperation. Olaf Scholz said that the sixth of the planned IRIS-T air defense systems would be delivered to Ukraine by the end of this year. The parties also discussed the volume of air defense system deliveries for the next year and possible additional assistance with air defense systems from Germany.

During the conversation, the leaders focused on what other efforts are needed to best provide defense and political support to Ukraine and coordinated joint steps for the near future. In particular, they agreed that the Ramstein format should be maintained. It remains important to hold another meeting of the coordination group.
Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine's vision of a just and lasting peace should be presented at the G20 meeting in Brazil, and thanked Germany for its support.
