At a briefing on Friday, Sikorsky was asked, among other things, about Scholz's call to Putin. He said he had already exchanged information on the matter with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"It is very good that the German Chancellor reported this conversation to the Polish Prime Minister almost immediately, and from what the German Chancellor says, it appears that he presented something that Poland agrees with. Namely, that no decisions regarding Ukraine can be made without Ukraine," Sikorski said.
The Polish Foreign Minister was also asked about the Ukrainian president's criticism of Scholz's conversation with Putin.
In response, Sikorsky said he did not yet know Zelensky's statement on the matter. However, he said that "things are accelerating." "And that is why next week I will chair the Weimar Triangle Plus," he said.
The Polish foreign minister said that, in addition to the French and German foreign ministers, he was looking forward to meeting with representatives of other important European countries. The Foreign Minister of Ukraine and the new High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, was also invited.
"As you can see, the most important talks on this crisis will be held in Warsaw," Sikorsky emphasized.
