Shmyhal also shared Ukraine's experience in countering Russian energy terror and spoke about the key principles that ensure the resilience of the energy system in wartime conditions.

Among the main lessons Ukraine has learned during the full-scale war are the diversification of energy sources, the development of distributed generation, the rapid restoration of damaged facilities, the protection of critical infrastructure, and integration into the European energy space, he added.

Furthermore, Shmyhal noted that Ukraine and Azerbaijan share common interests in matters of sovereignty, energy security, diversification of routes, and reducing Europe's energy dependence on Russian energy resources.

Both countries can help each other build a new energy security architecture between the Caspian region, the Black Sea, and Europe, he stated.
