Tuesday’s figure of eight vessels fell below the 10-day average of about 12, the lowest daily figure since August 5, Kpler data showed. Only one, a coal carrier, exited the strait, while the rest were still continuing their journeys.
All seven vessels that entered passed through the Iranian route.
Separate LSEG data showed 11 transits on Tuesday, compared with 14 the day before.
Before Iran closed the waterway following the start of U.S.-Israeli attacks on February 28, about 130–140 vessels normally passed through the strait.
