According to India's Ministry of Shipping, after being hit by a shell, the vessel capsized and sank. Yemen's coast guard rescued all 14 crew members.
Who exactly fired the shell is currently unknown.
Tensions in the Red Sea persist
Iran-backed Yemeni Houthi rebels have previously repeatedly threatened to disrupt shipping in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which connects the Gulf of Aden with the Red Sea and is one of the world's key maritime routes.
