“Shakhtar defeated Swiss side Young Boys 2-1 in a Champions League match. Goals by Zubkov and Sudakov brought the Ukrainian club its first victory in the group stage of this season's European competitions.

Shakhtar Donetsk broke the series of failures of Ukrainian clubs in European tournaments by defeating Swiss Young Boys 2-1. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, UNN reports.

This game was the first success of the Ukrainian club in the group stage of European competitions this season, which inspires optimism among the fans.

The match started poorly for Shakhtar: after a mistake by Artem Bondarenko, the opponents opened the scoring. However, the team quickly recovered and within a few minutes Alexander Zubkov successfully converted a pass from Georgy Sudakov to equalize. Then Sudakov took an active role, and ten minutes after the first goal, he scored the winning goal with a long-range shot, making the score 2-1.

Shakhtar will play their next Champions League match on November 27 against PSV Amsterdam. The game is scheduled to kick off at 22:00.
