False information is spreading online that NABU allegedly conducted searches at the home of the parents of the President of Ukraine - Rimma and Oleksandr Zelensky. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (CCD), informs UNN.

This story is not true and is completely fabricated. The fake is being spread along with a falsified video on behalf of a well-known European media outlet. The video itself also uses a fake screenshot of a news item from a Ukrainian website. In reality, on the official resources of the media whose logos were used to create the fake, materials about the "searches at Zelensky's parents" are absent
It is indicated that this disinformation dump is a typical method of operation of the Russian disinformation network "Matryoshka", which specializes in producing fake publications disguised as materials from well-known global media.
"Russian propaganda has repeatedly released similar fakes about the 'enormous wealth' or 'expensive purchases' of the Zelensky family, which were massively dumped into social networks, including their English-language segment, in order to discredit Ukraine on the international stage. The goal of such fabrications is to undermine the trust of international partners in Ukraine," the CCD summarizes.

The ruling party "United Russia" has officially launched its election campaign for the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation, scheduled for September 18-20. The main elements of the campaign were personal loyalty to Vladimir Putin and support for the war against Ukraine.
