The Security Service of Ukraine qualifies the explosion in the police building, which occurred in the Odesa region on Sunday, March 23, as an attempted terrorist act. This is reported by UNN with reference to the Facebook page of the SSU Office in the Odesa region.

It is noted that criminal proceedings have already been opened. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act).

According to the investigation, the explosion occurred at approximately 18:00 after a woman entered the police department with a package, which, according to preliminary data, may have contained explosives. In particular, it is known that the woman died immediately.
Three police officers suffered only minor injuries. They were provided with medical assistance
Currently, SBU investigators are inspecting the scene. In addition, the Security Service and the National Police are conducting comprehensive measures to establish all the circumstances of the explosion and the persons involved.
