According to NATO's press service, Mark Rutte praised Turkey for its "firm support of the Ukrainian defense industry with ammunition, artillery and necessary assistance, as well as its key role in initiatives such as the Black Sea Grain Agreement and other diplomatic efforts.
In turn, the press service of the Turkish Communications Board reported that the officials discussed "what can be done to stop the war" that the terrorist state has started against Ukraine.
Among other topics, the press service mentions the 2026 NATO summit to be hosted by Turkey, the solidarity of allies with Ankara in "supplying materials to the defense industry," and Turkey's contribution to NATO.
After his visit to Turkey, Mark Rutte will travel to Greece to meet with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
