Russian troops shelled a residential area in Kherson overnight, damaging an apartment building, but no one was injured, the head of the Kherson RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, said on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"At night, Russian troops shelled a residential sector in the Korabelny district of Kherson. A shell fragment damaged the balcony and windows in one of the apartments in a multi-storey building. An elderly Kherson resident who was in the apartment was not injured," Prokudin wrote on Telegram.
The State Emergency Service also reported that in the evening, after the enemy shelling of Kherson, a fire broke out in one of the city's districts. As indicated, an auxiliary building was burning, and the fire spread to a house in the private residential sector. Therefore, firefighters immediately began extinguishing two fire centers. The fire was quickly extinguished.
