Russia will still have to end the war diplomatically, but the terms will be worse – Sybiha

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Russia faces worse peace terms due to its refusal to negotiate. According to him, the situation for the aggressor will deteriorate both on the front lines and in the economy.

By refusing direct negotiations with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has lost the chance to exit a failed war, and eventually Russia will have to agree to a diplomatic settlement on significantly worse terms. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, UNN reports.

Details

According to him, there is currently "no good news for the Russians": the situation for Russia will only get worse—losses on the battlefield will continue to grow, and "failures will become increasingly humiliating."

The economy will sink deeper into recession. More jobs will be lost, taxes will rise, and inflation will hit the most vulnerable. There are no longer any safe places in Russia that can be protected from Ukraine's long-range strikes. But their intensity will continue to grow

- noted the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also, in his conviction, international pressure on the RF will not weaken but will only intensify, "including the use of frozen assets, travel bans, and inevitable accountability for crimes."

And all this because a fanatic in the Kremlin wants to stay in power at any cost and is ready to sacrifice his country's future and kill millions of people for his mad delusions. All this because he does not want to admit a simple truth: he will never achieve his goals on the battlefield, and he would be better off giving up his futile hopes for a rapid collapse of Ukraine, a decrease in support from its partners, or a weakening of pressure on Russia

- Sybiha indicated.

He added that Putin's refusal of peace should lead to a significant increase in international pressure on Russia and support for Ukraine.
