In particular, the following were involved in the dissemination:

• media resources of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

• Sputnik and RT networks;

• Russian state and private media;

• Telegram channels;

• FIMI resources, including Pravda / ZOV;

• propaganda bloggers.

Also, the agency states that this is already the second similar wave this summer. The previous statement by the SVR was distributed on June 19. Russia's actions are aimed at discrediting the negotiation process regarding Ukraine's accession to the EU.

On June 15, the negotiation cluster "Fundamentals" was opened, and on July 14, the cluster "External Relations." Negotiations on other clusters are ongoing. Ukraine is already associated with the European Defence Fund, and joint projects are included in 15 of the 19 national plans of the SAFE defence instrument. The campaign's goal is to undermine trust in the EU and Ukraine's European prospects, as well as to strengthen eurosceptic sentiments in other countries. The next wave can be expected ahead of the September meeting of the EU Council
