According to Dmitriev, rare earth metals are an important area for Russian-American cooperation. He emphasized that the parties are discussing not only metals, but also other projects.
"Rare earth metals are an important area for cooperation, and, of course, we have started discussions about various rare earth metals and projects in Russia," Dmitriev said.
The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund added that negotiations between the parties spurred the interest of some companies in participating in relevant projects, but did not disclose specific dates. However, the issue of cooperation may be further discussed during the next round of Russian-American negotiations - it, as indicated, may take place in mid-April in Saudi Arabia.
