British actress Olivia Hussey, who became popular for her role in Franco Zeffirelli's 1968 film Romeo and Juliet, has died at the age of 73, UNN reports citing the Daily Mail.

The death of the actress was reported on her official Instagram page. The post noted that Olivia Hussey died at her home two days after Christmas.
The caption to the post shared by her family read: "It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Olivia Gussie Isley, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on December 27.
Gussie became popular when she was only 15 years old, when she was cast in a film adaptation of her favorite play by William Shakespeare.
Over the course of six decades, she has starred in more than 50 projects, including Black Christmas (1974) and Death on the Nile (1978).
