Yale University researchers have identified hundreds of Ukrainian children from Donetsk and Luhansk regions who have been abducted by Russia since February 2022, as well as their places of residence and deportation routes. 148 young Ukrainians are already in Russian databases on child placement, 42 of them are adopted, taken under guardianship or have an appointed Russian Guardian. The president stressed that Ukraine is constantly working to ensure that Ukrainian children have returned home, and all those responsible for the crime of abduction have been punished.
"This is a difficult task, but we are doing everything necessary, and we are grateful to everyone who helps us. Every country, organization, leader – political and public. Only together can we restore justice, which Russia has violated on what scale, protect the future of Ukrainian children and bring them home," the president added.
