In the Tyachiv district of Zakarpattia, a BMW driver was detained for running over a police officer while checking documents. The victim was hospitalized with a broken leg and a bruised chest.

Patrol police officers detained the driver of a "BMW" car in the Tyachiv district of Transcarpathia on the night of March 29. This is reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the National Police of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region.

The "BMW" car, driven by a 26-year-old man, was stopped in the village of Teresva. During the inspection, it turned out that he did not have documents confirming the right to drive a car - he also did not have an insurance policy for the car.

During the drawing up of the administrative protocol, the driver ran over a police officer, after which he fled the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital - she was diagnosed with a broken leg and a bruised chest. The driver was detained the next day during Operation Interception.

The actions of the arrested person are qualified under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer). If the man is found guilty by the court, he may face up to 15 years in prison, or life imprisonment.
