In Ukraine, from 6:00 to 22:00, single-phase power outage schedules are in effect in most regions, while consumption is increasing and restoration work continues at energy facilities damaged by Russia's massive attack, Ukrenergo and the Energy Ministry said on Wednesday, UNN reports.
Consumption
"Consumption is growing. Today, on November 20, as of 5:00 a.m., its level was 1.6% higher than at the same time on the previous day - Tuesday, November 19. This is due to the continuation of power supply to consumers in Odesa region who were previously cut off as a result of Russian shelling. Emergency repair works in the region are ongoing," Ukrenergo noted.
Yesterday, November 19, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 6% higher than the previous day. "This is due to the application of fewer restrictions at this time," the company said.
"There is a significant power shortage in the power system. Therefore, in order to balance the power system, hourly outage schedules with one queue are in effect in most regions from 6:00 to 22:00 today. Please use electricity sparingly throughout the day. Do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time," Ukrenergo emphasized.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the economical use of electricity reduces the load on the power grid.
Over the past day, power companies have restored power to 194,763 consumers who were cut off from electricity as a result of hostilities.

It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 7,914 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 837 MW in some hours.

"The water level in the cooling pond is 14.13 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the Ministry of Energy said.
