According to a poll conducted by the Sociological Group "Rating", fewer Ukrainians trust Rustem Umerov as Minister of Defense of Ukraine than trusted Oleksiy Reznikov when he held this position, UNN reports.
Details
In February 2024, 7% of citizens fully approved of Umerov's performance, while in February 2023, trust in the minister was at 26%.
According to the poll, as of February 2024, 27% of respondents said they "rather approve" of Umerov's performance as Defense Minister, while 16% said they "rather disapprove." Twelve percent of people do not approve of him at all, and 39 percent found it difficult to answer the question.
It should be recalled that Umerov took office as Minister in September 2023. In June 2022, the level of trust in Reznikov was 37% ("strongly approve") and 38% ("rather approve").
In April 2022, 49% of citizens fully approved of the Minister of Defense's performance, while another 30% said they rather approved than disapproved. 30% chose the option "rather approve," and 4% chose "rather disapprove." Only 2% of respondents did not trust the Minister at all.

The method of the survey was Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) - telephone interviews using a computer, based on a random sample of mobile numbers. A total of n = 2000 residents of Ukraine aged 18 and older were interviewed. The survey data were weighted by regional (region of residence and type of settlement) and age indicators using data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine as of January 1, 2022. The error of representativeness of the survey with a confidence level of 0.95 does not exceed ±3.5 percentage points for the full sample. The response rate is 14%.
