Poland will restrict flights near the borders from June to September 2026. The ban at altitudes up to 3 km will not affect the movement of civil passenger aircraft.

Poland is closing the airspace near Ukraine and Belarus due to the need to ensure national security, UNN reports, citing the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency.

At the request of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, due to the need to ensure national security, from June 10, 2026, 00:00 UTC to September 9, 2026, 23:59 UTC, air traffic restrictions will be introduced in eastern Poland in the form of a restricted area EP R131. This zone covers the area from ground level to FL95, or roughly speaking, to an altitude of approximately 3 km. Therefore, it does not apply to passenger aircraft operating at higher altitudes
