It is noted that the incident occurred at the Centrum station in Warsaw. The man threw a backpack onto the tracks and fled the scene. This forced the evacuation of several hundred people, and metro train traffic was temporarily disrupted.
Law enforcement officers established that a 38-year-old citizen of Ukraine was involved in the incident. According to the investigation, the man acted out of hooligan motives, and his action showed no signs of being premeditated or terrorist in nature.
After his detention, the Ukrainian was handed over to Polish border guards, who decided to deport him. He will be taken to a border checkpoint and handed over to Ukrainian border guards.
In addition, the man was banned from entering Poland and all Schengen Area countries for a period of 10 years.
