Russia attacked Ukraine with 49 drones overnight, destroying 27 drones in six regions, 19 did not reach their targets, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Monday, UNN reports.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the night of December 16 (from 01.00), the enemy attacked Ukraine with 49 Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of drones from the Bryansk and Orel regions of the Russian Federation.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.
As of 08.30, 27 Shahed and other types of attack UAVs were confirmed downed in Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Khmelnytsky, Kharkiv and Dnipro regions. Due to the active counteraction of the Defense Forces, 19 enemy UAVs failed to reach their targets (lost in the area). Three UAVs are still in the air!
No hits were reported, and there was no information on damage or casualties.
