A significant temperature increase is expected next week, so power engineers may be forced to apply blackout schedules. Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk said this during a telethon, UNN reports.
Hrynchuk says that starting from the weekend and throughout the next week, weather forecasters are predicting a heat wave, and power companies are forecasting a significant increase in electricity consumption.
"What we are going to see next week may lead to the need for energy companies to apply outage schedules, but if we have to do this, the schedules will be as invisible as possible for consumers," she added.
Recall
Earlier, Deputy Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk said that the upcoming heat wave would not be so difficult for the power systemas they managed to restore some capacities and put them into operation.
