It is pointed out that the 63-year-old Orbán remained defiant in his speech at the party congress in Budapest, characterizing Magyar as a "viceroy" serving Western interests. He accused Hungary's new administration of undermining national sovereignty, warning that "by autumn, Hungary will resist these constant abuses."
Orbán acknowledged responsibility for the strategic failures that led to Fidesz's defeat but said he is still the right person to lead the party's revival.
