Oil supplies via the Druzhba pipeline to the EU resumed on Thursday night, and the first batch of Russian oil since the halt was sent to Slovakia, Slovak Economy Minister Denisa Sakova announced on her social media page, UNN reports.
Today, from 2:00 AM, oil supplies to Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline have been restored. Currently, oil supplies are proceeding according to the agreed plan.
As Euronews notes, Russian oil may soon arrive at the Bratislava refinery, owned by the Hungarian oil company MOL.
Regarding Hungary, after the Ukrainian company operating the Ukrainian section of the pipeline confirmed the start of oil supplies to Hungary, MOL announced on Wednesday that it had been informed of the start of receiving oil from Belarus at noon on Wednesday. The Hungarian oil company expected that the oil flowing through the pipeline would reach Hungary no later than Thursday. When asked by Euronews, they previously replied that they could not provide additional information at this time, but would issue an additional statement as soon as the first drops of oil arrived and reached the Százhalombatta refinery.
