Norway will allocate 2.7 billion kroner ($242.38 million) to strengthen Ukraine's navy and help deter Russian naval forces in the Black Sea. This was announced on Monday by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, UNN reports with reference to Reuters.
"It is necessary to protect the population of Ukraine and Ukrainian infrastructure from attacks by the Russian Black Sea Fleet," Støre said.
"It is also important to protect the export of grain and other products by sea, which bring Ukraine the most important revenues," he added.

According to British intelligence, the overall pace of Russian naval operations in the Black Sea remains low due to Ukraine's successful actions.
Norway plans to continue training Ukrainian pilots and technicians on F-16 fighter jets in Portugal.
