China's meteorological service on Saturday renewed its orange alert for severe storms, which are expected to sweep through northern regions and coastal areas over the weekend. Some areas of Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei and Beijing are forecast to have wind gusts of up to 41 meters per second, or 92 miles per hour, between 8 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.
