The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), based on the results of its lifestyle monitoring, has found signs of illicit enrichment of MP Ihor Kisilov worth more than UAH 70 million. UNN reports this with reference to the NAPC press service.
The Agency does not name the MP, but judging by the description, it is Igor Kisilov, who was elected to parliament from the already banned OPFL.
The NACP started monitoring on the basis of the appeal of Bihus.Info regarding the discrepancy between the standard of living of the MP, his family members and his close associates and the income received.
For example, in 2021, his mother-in-law purchased a 360-square-meter apartment in the elite Diamond Hill residential complex in the center of the capital for UAH 5.5 million. It is noted that the National Agency found evidence of a significant understatement of the cost of housing - the real market value of the apartment on the date of its acquisition was about UAH 65 million.
At the NACP's request to explain the sources of the funds, the MP said that he did not know about his mother-in-law's purchase of an apartment and attached her written explanation. She indicated the sources of funds as her own savings, as well as the savings of her husband and daughters. However, it was found that the income received by all of them from legal sources was not enough to buy expensive real estate
The NACP also detected an attempt to conceal the real value of the apartment by entering false parameters in the documents. In particular, it concerns the indication of its location in a dormitory in the peripheral zone of Kyiv.
In addition, the MP's wife reportedly purchased a Mercedes-Benz S350L, the real value of which is almost three times higher than the one specified in the purchase agreement.
"Thus, the NACP did not establish the legal sources of funds for which the apartment and vehicle were purchased for almost UAH 65 million and more than UAH 5.5 million, respectively, belonging to close relatives of the official," the NACP said in a statement.
The conclusion regarding the MP with the detected signs of a criminal corruption offense was sent to the Prosecutor General's Office to determine the jurisdiction and decide on the issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations on the grounds of a criminal offense under Art. 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The apartment had been previously purchased by his 68-year-old mother-in-law, but in February, Bihus.Info journalists showed a car used by the MP leaving the complex.
