The family of the 16-year-old boy who was killed at a funicular station in Kyiv supports the prosecutor's request to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention to the suspected law enforcement officer. The lawyer of the family of the deceased, Oleksandr Panchenko, told journalists about this, UNN reports.
"I literally talked to my father before the court. My father is in such a state that he can still communicate more or less. I talked to him, I asked him what his position was on this measure of restraint. The position was clear - it is a non-alternative detention, which is fully supported. As far as I know, he and his mother are not divorced, so this is, as I understand it, the position of the victim's family," the lawyer said.
He added that the parents are in a very serious condition.
"Now they are dealing with funeral arrangements," the lawyer added.
