Accusations have been voiced in Minsk against Kyiv regarding attempts to "strike elements of border infrastructure" with drones. Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC of Ukraine, noted that Belarus is lying about Ukrainian drones in the border area at the request of the Russian Federation, UNN reports.
What is being said in Belarus?
Alexander Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, claimed that over the past week, Ukrainian drones allegedly crossed the country's borders 116 times.
"In some cases, these are not accidental attacks, but attempts to strike elements of border infrastructure, hiding behind allegedly accidental incursions,"
Ukraine's Response
In response to the accusations, Andriy Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC of Ukraine, stated that Belarus is lying about our drones in the border area and is trying to provoke. This is exactly what Russia demands from Belarus.
"It is worth recalling that it was Belarus that provided its territory for the Russian invasion in 2022. I am sure that Lukashenko perfectly understands the consequences of his actions in the interests of Russia in 2026. This could be a completely different story,"
As a reminder
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia wants to involve Belarus even further in the war.
