Details
It is noted that Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko and his deputy Kateryna Pavlichenko met with Protez Foundation CEO Yuri Aroshidze and Direct Relief President Thomas Taige. The main topic of the talks was the establishment of a prosthetic and rehabilitation center on the basis of one of the medical institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the meeting, Klymenko noted that the priority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is to rehabilitate the defenders, ensure their stable mental health and full integration into society. The creation of a prosthetic rehabilitation center will help to restore even more wounded soldiers.
Our teams have been working in very close collaboration this year. And we have already come up with a specific project to build a center. There, we will be able to manufacture and install prostheses, as well as carry out their maintenance. In our cooperation with the Protez Foundation, we are not only building the center and installing equipment, we are also recruiting and training high-quality specialists
In his turn, Protez Foundation CEO Yuri Aroshidze said that he and his team are honored to work with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and jointly implement projects that help the military return to life.
We are sincerely grateful for the meeting. For more than 1000 days of war, our cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs has become extremely close. During this period, we have provided a lot of equipment to the military of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. We are also engaged in training your specialists. And we are very grateful to your team, because you are motivated people who respond quickly to challenges and, like us, have a common mission - to help. Realizing the duration of the war, we realize that we need to go to another level. And the creation of a prosthetic center is the answer to this problem. That is why the Protez Foundation is committed to building, equipping and training the staff of this center
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working together to create the center, strengthen coordination, and identify further steps for the effective implementation of the project.
