Details

The ritual is common in the village of Bilokurakyne, Svatove district, Luhansk region. In Bilokurakyne, many legends, tales, songs, and many proverbs are associated with the maiden's braid. In the region, braids are braided in two rows, adding colored ribbons. Before putting on the wedding wreath, the ceremony was accompanied by ritual songs that praised the maiden's beauty, purity and decency.
