Military parade and May 9th march cancelled in occupied Crimea

The Russian-controlled authorities of Crimea have cancelled the parade and the Immortal Regiment march due to security concerns. Veterans will be honored in other formats without mass gatherings.

In occupied Crimea, the military parade and the "Immortal Regiment" march on May 9 have been canceled due to security concerns. This was reported by the Russian-controlled head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, on Telegram, according to UNN.

The holding of a military parade and other mass events in honor of the Great Victory Day in the Republic of Crimea is not planned this year. There will also be no organized "Immortal Regiment" march

According to the occupation head of Crimea, this decision by the "authorities is dictated by security considerations."

At the same time, Aksyonov assured that "dear veterans" would be honored, and "festive events in various formats" would be held.
