Four people were killed when an ambulance helicopter collided with a hospital building in southwestern Turkey on Sunday, December 22, UNN reports, citing Haberturk and Reuters.

According to a statement by the country's Ministry of Health, the helicopter took off from the Mugla Teaching and Research Hospital, with two pilots, a doctor and another medical worker on board. All of them were killed.
The regional governor of Mugla, Idris Akbiyik, told reporters that the helicopter first hit the fourth floor of the hospital building and then crashed into the ground. No one in the building or on the ground was injured. The causes of the accident, which occurred during heavy fog, are under investigation.
Footage from the scene shows the wreckage of the plane scattered all over the area near the hospital building, as well as several ambulances and emergency crews at the scene.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has already responded to the tragedy: "The news that 4 of our brothers have been killed in the crash of an ambulance helicopter associated with our Ministry of Health in Mugla has broken our hearts. I pray for God's mercy on our deceased staff; I extend my condolences to their families, colleagues and our entire healthcare community.
