A court has imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention on a 24-year-old man suspected of systematically torturing the 4-year-old child of his partner. He faces up to 6 years in prison, UNN reports, citing the Kyiv regional police.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the 24-year-old defendant systematically beat, shouted and verbally abused his partner's daughter. Doctors recorded numerous bruises and abrasions on the girl's head and body
It is noted that the attacker caused not only physical but also psychological suffering to the child
Police investigators, under the procedural control of the Bila Tserkva District Prosecutor's Office, served the man a notice of suspicion of committing domestic violence (Article 126-1) and torture of a minor child (Part 1 of Article 127 of the Criminal Code). He faces up to six years in prison.
The court imposed on the suspect a measure of restraint in the form of detention without bail for 60 days.
