In Poltava region, a minor was wounded by a man shooting with an air rifle, police served the man with a notice of suspicion, UNN reports, citing the regional police department.

According to the police, on July 31, at around 9 p.m., local residents reported that "in one of the villages of the Zinkiv community, a man shot an eight-year-old boy with an air gun."
"During the initial investigative and operational activities, it was established that a local 32-year-old man fired shots from an air rifle at an 8-year-old boy who was in the street. The wounded child was hospitalized and underwent surgery. The person involved in the offense was served a notice of suspicion and a court imposed a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention for 60 days with the right to be released on bail in the amount of UAH 151,400," the police said.
Criminal proceedings were initiated over this fact under Part 1 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article provides for five to eight years in prison.
