President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron on Monday, November 27, received the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi at the Elysee Palace. According to TF1, citing the president's press release, Macron "reiterated his support for the IAEA's actions in Ukraine, and recalled the the principle of Ukraine's sovereignty over the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant."

The French President emphasized the importance of the IAEA presence at the site to ensure nuclear safety and confirmed France's support for the IAEA experts "to be able to access the plant in complete safety and without without any obstacles."
As a reminder,
Zaporizhzhya NPP was disconnected from the Ukrainian power system due to a short circuit, which led to to the risk of blackout, as the only remaining line was severed. The IAEA confirmed that the last backup line was crucial to preventing a complete blackout of the plant.
