The capital is introducing a voice notification for the minute of silence at 09:00 through 400 system points. The ritual of honoring the fallen will cover all districts of the city.

In Kyiv, every day at 9:00 AM, a Minute of Silence for those killed in the Russian-Ukrainian war will be announced via public address system loudspeakers. This is reported by UNN with reference to KCSA.

Details

The city authorities are completing testing of the announcement of the nationwide minute of silence via public address system loudspeakers. From now on, in Kyiv, every day at 9:00 AM, a short voice message about the beginning of the minute of silence will be broadcast where technically possible.

Thus, Kyiv joins the nationwide ritual of gratitude, honor, and remembrance of the Defenders, both male and female, and civilians who died as a result of Russian armed aggression against Ukraine.

Currently, more than 400 notification points are operating in the capital. At the same time, the system is being updated, so the list of locations will gradually expand, the KCSA noted.

Additionally

Since 2025, the Minute of Silence has been announced on Khreshchatyk and Maidan Nezalezhnosti, at 19 metro stations, and in ground transport. Notifications are also received through the Kyiv Digital application.

Recall

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted draft law No. 14144, which provides technical conditions for holding a nationwide Minute of Silence.
