Today, in addition to striking the "St. Petersburg" oil terminal, Ukrainian military also hit the Baltic Fleet base "Kronstadt". The first results of the attack have become known, reports UNN.
"Also, a strike was carried out on the "Kronstadt" base in the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation.
A hit on the facility was recorded, followed by a fire on the port territory.
The extent of the damage is being clarified," - reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Kronstadt" is one of the main bases of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that this base has not been targeted by Ukrainian UAVs for the first time. Thus, on the night of June 6, it was also attacked by strike drones.
Also, as confirmed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in addition to "Kronstadt", the "St. Petersburg" oil terminal was attacked, which is one of the largest terminals for transshipment of petroleum products in the Baltic region. Its design capacity is 12.5 million tons of petroleum products per year, and the tank farm has a total volume of about 441 thousand m³.
As reported by the Security Service of Ukraine, as a result of multiple hits by Ukrainian drones, at least three fire sites were recorded on the territory of the oil terminal.
