King Charles III of Great Britain refused to pay an annual allowance of 1 million pounds to his brother Prince Andrew. The reason was the Duke of York's refusal to move out of the luxurious Royal Lodge residence.

King Charles III of Great Britain has decided to stop supporting his younger brother, the Duke of York, financially after Prince Andrew refused to move out of the luxurious Royal Lodge royal residence. This was reported by the Independent, according to UNN.

Details

For many years, Andrew received an annual support of £1 million from Charles. However, the monarch decided to stop this assistance after the Duke refused to leave Royal Lodge, a 30-room estate in Windsor's Great Park. The King reportedly offered his brother to move to the much smaller Frogmore Cottage, but Andrew insisted on keeping his home.

Charles's move is likely aimed at finally separating the royal family from Prince Andrew, whose reputation has been seriously damaged by his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It is also known that Andrew signed a long-term lease for the Royal Lodge back in 2003 for 75 years, which makes it difficult to evict the Duke.
