Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko thanked the Government of Japan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori for their assistance to the rescuers.

The Interior Minister stressed that Japan systematically transfers technical equipment, vehicles, and demining machines to Ukraine.
40 special vehicles, 50 hand-held mine detectors, as well as containers and fire extinguishing liquid. The equipment provided to us by Japan today will significantly speed up the process of humanitarian demining and make it safer for pyrotechnics
