Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo will stop accepting payments in euros from Russian banks. The decision is likely to affect mainly Russian corporate clients: exporters and importers, companies from the service and industrial sectors.
It is also indicated that commercial transactions between accounts within Intesa Sanpaolo itself will be an exception.
