At least 40 people were killed and more than 50 injured as a result of Israeli air strikes on eastern Lebanon. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Lebanon, UNN reports.

The Bekaa Valley and the city of Baalbek were hit, and the death toll could rise as rescuers are still searching under the rubble.
The Israeli military did not issue evacuation warnings in these areas. The attacks on southern Lebanon have been going on since late September, and this week Israel continued its attacks, including on the southern districts of Beirut.
On Thursday morning, at least four more strikes were recorded in the southern part of the Lebanese capital.
