The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel stated that the Ukrainian request for legal assistance regarding a vessel carrying grain stolen from Ukraine contained insufficient factual information and was not supported by evidence as required by Israeli law. This is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on X, reports UNN.

"The Ukrainian request for legal assistance, submitted on Tuesday evening, April 28, contained significant factual gaps and did not include any supporting evidence. The Israel Police turned to the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office with a request to provide additional information and supporting evidence, as required by Israeli law," the statement reads.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also added that the vessel, which was scheduled to enter the port next week, decided to leave Israel's territorial waters.
"Israel adheres to the rule of law, and its authorities will always act in accordance with the law," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added.

Ukraine stated that there have been more than two cases of grain illegally exported from occupied territories being supplied to Israel.
In the package of documents sent to Israel regarding the Russian vessel with stolen Ukrainian grain, the Ukrainian side asks Israeli partners to seize the vessel and cargo, conduct a search, seize ship and cargo documentation, take grain samples, and interrogate crew members.
After Ukraine took a set of procedural measures, the vessel PANORMITIS left the territorial waters of the State of Israel and moved into neutral waters.
