Tehran launched missile strikes and blocked oil exports through a key sea route. Trump allows other countries to forcibly open the strait.

Iran has launched new missile strikes on Israel and Persian Gulf countries, demonstrating its continued ability to attack the region even amid statements by US President Donald Trump about the almost complete elimination of the threat from Tehran. This is reported by AP News, transmitted by UNN.

According to the agency, the strikes are also accompanied by Iran's blocking of the Strait of Hormuz - a key route for energy transportation. This has already led to serious disruptions in global oil and gas supplies.

Amid the escalation of the situation, Great Britain plans to hold consultations with almost 30 countries regarding the possible resumption of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz after the end of hostilities.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump stated that the strait could be opened by force, but emphasized that Washington does not necessarily have to do it.

The situation around the Strait of Hormuz remains one of the key factors of global energy security and could have far-reaching consequences for the world economy.
