According to IRNA, the delegation arrived in Tehran on Friday. During the meeting, the parties discussed efforts to "establish appropriate mechanisms for managing vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz."
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the key global routes for transporting oil and liquefied natural gas, and the issue of navigation safety in the region remains relevant amid tensions in the Middle East.
Oman has not publicly commented on the information about the meeting in Tehran so far.
