The fatal road traffic accident occurred on April 7, 2026, at approximately 7:40 AM on Balkivska Street in Odesa.
According to preliminary data, a Volkswagen Transporter car, driven by a serviceman, collided with a shuttle bus.
As a result of the accident, one passenger died on the spot, and eleven more people sought medical attention.
The driver, a serviceman, was hospitalized and is in serious condition.
Immediately after the accident, SBI employees arrived at the scene and began initial investigative actions.

A criminal case has been opened for violating road safety rules, which resulted in a person's death (Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This article carries a penalty of up to 8 years of imprisonment.
