Russian forces in Donetsk region directed a jet-powered drone at a repair crew that was restoring a damaged railway facility. As a result of the strike, one track fitter was killed, and two other employees were injured. This was reported by the chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, writes UNN.
Today, our railway family has suffered a loss due to an enemy shelling. Our repair crew was restoring an infrastructure facility damaged by the enemy in Donetsk region. A jet-powered "Shahed" drone was directed straight at the railway workers. Dispatchers warned of critical danger, and most employees evacuated. But, unfortunately, one of our track fitters sustained injuries incompatible with life during the explosion. We also have two colleagues with shrapnel wounds
Currently, all circumstances are being clarified as to what prevented saving the railway worker's life despite the warning.
