Officers of a Borzna police department are conducting a series of investigative actions to identify those involved in the hanging of the animals.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident, interviewing local residents and possible witnesses to the incident. Law enforcement officers also urged citizens to call 102 if they have any information about the circumstances of the incident.
The information has already been registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. The investigator is investigating proceedings under Part 3 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - cruelty to animals. The article provides for 5 to 8 years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
